Tandem paragliding from Col de la Forclaz
The Col de la Forclaz is a mountain pass above the east shore of the Lac d'Annecy. It is the launch area for tandem flights in this guide. You fly strapped to a qualified instructor, so you need no experience and no equipment of your own.
The details below come from one operator, Aéroslide, which published its prices in October 2026. They are an example, not a price range for the whole lake. Other providers may charge differently, so compare before you book.

Flight types and example prices
Prices as published by Aéroslide in October 2026. Weight limits belong to each flight type.
| Flight | Duration | Price | Weight limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Découverte | 10 to 15 minutes | €95 | 80 kg |
| Ascendance | 15 to 25 minutes | €120 | 110 kg |
| Prestige | 35 to 45 minutes | €160 | 110 kg |
| Child flight | 10 to 15 minutes | €90 | 45 kg, flown in the morning |
The adult flights therefore span €95 to €160 at this operator. Longer flights give you more time in the air, but the time depends on wind and thermals. Ask about the age rule for children before you book a family trip.

How the flight day works
From the meeting point to the landing.
Meet in Doussard
The meeting point is at 50 Chemin des Grands Prés in Doussard, at the southern end of the lake. Arrive on time.
Transfer to the launch
The ride up to the start at Col de la Forclaz takes about 20 minutes. The operator names a qualified instructor and supplies a helmet and a harness.
Take off and fly
You run a few steps with your pilot, then the wing lifts you. Follow the pilot's instructions on the ground and in the air.
Land back at Doussard
The flight ends in Doussard, close to where you started. Doussard also has a free public beach, described on our beaches page.
What to wear
The operator recommends sturdy walking shoes, long trousers and a warm layer that blocks the wind. It is cooler in the air than on the shore, even on a warm day. Flip-flops and smooth soles are not suitable for the take-off run.
- Walking shoes with grip.
- Long trousers.
- A windproof jacket or fleece.
Check the weather and seasons page to see which months are mildest.

Safety and weather
Fly only with a qualified tandem pilot. No tandem flight is free of risk, and no operator can promise a flight on a given day. Wind and visibility decide, and a flight can be postponed or changed for weather reasons. Ask the operator how rebooking and refunds work before you pay.
The take-off and landing areas around Talloires-Montmin and Doussard have their own local flying rules. The municipality links a version dated October 2025. A tandem operator handles this for you, so do not launch on your own. If you have health problems or fear heights, tell the operator when you book.
The season runs from April to October. Late in October you are at the end of it, so confirm availability before you travel.
Semnoz: the mountain above Annecy
Semnoz is a separate mountain destination, not part of the flight at Col de la Forclaz. A summer bus, line S4, ran daily from 1 July to 31 August 2026, including weekends and holidays, at the Sibra fare. If you hold a subscription, you must validate it.
The ski station describes summer activities that are open to everyone. A summer toboggan run and mini-kart are separate paid offers. A notice for the Toussaint holiday lists 13:00 to 17:00 daily, and it adds that bad weather may close the site. Check the current notice before you go up.
